Hey all. I was wondering if there's a way you can roll back a jaws build without uninstalling the whole thing? I have jaws8.0.173 the one that just came out on June 25. It seems to be really sluggish with IE7. Thanks.
what do you mean roll back?. you can install another copy of jaws on the computer, and then remove the old one. that's what i did, cause my one was awful as well
Basically, if you want to use a build of JAWS lower than 8.0 with IE 7, it just won't work properly. The cursors go really weird and don't move round the screen as you'd expect it to, it just sort of sits there, so if you're typing in an Edit box on every single webpage, it'll miss out certain letters, mopstly at the beginning of each word you type, if not in the middle of the words, so, you end up searching for the wrong thing or keying in the wrong things you're not looking for. Also, it won't be very good with combo boxes. The cursors will just sit at the top of a list of items in a combo box, for example, when you're registering with various websites and you have to select your date of birth, gender, postcode Etc, using a combo box, so my advice is, best stick with JAWS 8.0 unless you roll back to IE6, which works with JAWS 7.0 and under.

Yeah what I mean is stick with 8.0 but I want to roll back to the previous build.
Hmmm! Don't roll back JAWS if you can't roll back to IE5 or 6 then.
Jen.
i have no problem with the new jfw.
I have IE 7 and jaws 7.0. I can't upgrade, and I don't have the money to do so. How do I role back to IE 6?
Hi,
You go to add or remove programs and arrow until you get to Windows Internet Explorer 7 and then you uninstall it.
That's easy to do, but how do I git IE 6?
